Back to all Construction update & notification – August 2022

The next phase of works for the second stage of Newmarket Randwick has commenced, with bulk earthworks starting in mid-August 2022. This phase of the build involves the installation of sheet piling, which is required to provide support to the future residential building above. This will allow the commencement of bulk earthworks to the Young & Fennelly residential site.

The project team is undertaking testing and ongoing monitoring to assist in reducing the impact of these works to the schools and the local community.

Construction traffic, including unloading zones, will be carefully managed in accordance with the Traffic Management Plan.

 

Hours of work

The approved hours of work are:

·        Monday to Friday: 7am – 5pm

·        Saturday: 8am – 5pm

No work will take place on Sundays or public holidays. Please note, there may be instances where out-of-hours or “one-off” activities may be required to safely facilitate these works (for example, a large machinery delivery). As such, we will endeavour to provide as much notice about these activities when required.

Sheet piling is permitted to take place between the hours of:

·        Monday to Friday: 8am – 1pm
