As we approach the holiday season, the second stage of the Newmarket Randwick site has reached the bottom of the basement hole, a significant milestone in the construction programme for the project. From here, a concrete slab will be poured across the basement footprint to provide stability to the building. The installation of in-ground services has also progressed on some areas of the project and will continue into 2023.
Throughout January and February 2023, a piling rig will be brought on to the Young & Fennelly site to complete the foundation support for the building. The project team will also start to prepare for the crane to be erected on site. This will take place early in the new year, with more detailed information to follow in due course.
We anticipate that construction traffic conditions from the project will remain at similar levels to those experienced in 2022.

Construction works will conclude for 2022 on Thursday, 22 December 2022 and recommence on Monday, 9 January 2023.
Outside of these holiday dates, the approved hours of work are:
• Monday to Friday: 7am – 5pm
• Saturday: 8am – 5pm
No work will take place on Sundays or public holidays.
